Base IATs at idle for 10 minutes were 17 6 before the wrap. Let’s see what happens tomorrow. Intake isn’t on yet but I got bored and did this. Took two hours and it’s FAR from my best work but there isn’t a lot of room to maneuver my gigantic hands around the wiring and such. It’s sticking and it’s there.

Dropping iat cannot be overstressed to make power consistently and reliably. Nice work.  Plastic or metal manifold?

Thank you, that’s my huge philosophy. One of the “free mods” as I’ve always said.

It’s a plastic manifold. But the radiator sits close. This bad boy gets legitimately hot to the touch. Hoping this along with my intake will help bring some more cold air into the motor and net me some power.

Were did you get the heat tape?

Kinda an odd question but part of me wonders if ebay heat tape is really that much less effective then name brand from summit or jegs

Mine is an Amazon China special I got prime 2 day shipping on lol.  1”-15’ (5 rolls) for $17 shipped. Research someone did showed about 80% heat deflection, right on par with the expensive DEI stuff.

Ooh, i should get me some ofthis aswell. Current intake plastic tubing sits right ontop of the valvecover and the intake sucks right from the exhaust of the radiator fan. It’s very noticeable that it drops power after 3-4 hot laps on track :D

Same issue. The fan kicks on while I sit in Dayton Ohio traffic. After about the third long red light this thing starts heat soaking bad.
